Why can't I see an email sent to one of my Organisation Email address on a Contact Record?

Problem:

A contact sent and email to an email address that has been set up as an 'Organisational Email' in CRM. They sent me an email to this address however I can not see this email when I go to the Contact record in CRM. Why is this?

Answer: 

Organisational Email are set up in the 'Setup' => 'Emails' = 'Organisation Emails' in CRM. These are not user emails but extra email addresses of various departments from which you send and receive customer emails. You can use these addresses as the 'From' and 'Reply to' addresses when sending email from your CRM.

Zoho CRM gives you the option of viewing the emails sent from/to the Organization Email:
  • The mails sent through the organization email from CRM can be seen under the respective record details.
  • Similarly when the organization email is specified in the reply to field when sending emails from CRM, any reply will automatically be sent to the organization email.
Note: For replies to be seen on a CRM record, the email with the Organisation Email must be sent from CRM. If you send or receive emails to one of your Organisation emails using your email program outside of CRM, these emails will not be seen on a CRM record unless the sender includes a User email addressed that has been set up as an IMAP email in CRM.
